Happy Summer!

Me, Kelly and Lauren at the staff dance.
Camp has been absolutely amazing so far! I honestly cannot believe how quickly the past three weeks have gone. So far we've had one week of resource staff training, one week of staff training, and were into the first week of camper session one. Since getting here I've made tons of new friends, learned how to drive the boats, gone pontoon jumping, and tomorrow will get to go horse-riding!

It's so weird (and awesome) how it feels like absolutely no time has passed since I was last here. I really can't imagine leaving after 6 weeks like I had planned. As much as I remembered how much I loved camp I didn't truly remember what an amazing place it is until I got back. I forgot how close everyone gets and how the group really does feel like a family at times. So often I look around at how beautiful everything is around me and am actually shocked to think that I am being paid to have the best 6 weeks I've had since I was last at camp. This place is so stunning and I am so lucky to be here for as long as I am.

Today's The Day!!

Today's the day! I leave for camp in two hours! I am so nervous and excited! Even though I've been all packed for almost 2 weeks now it still doesn't feel real. I feel so lucky that I get this kind of rare experience to return to a memory. For the past 2 summers I have wished and wished I could go back and now its actually happening and I won't take one minute for granted.

I won't be able to post very much... seeing as I'll be living in a Yurt in the middle of the woods for the next six weeks but please keep checking back!

Friendship Bracelets

Add making this to my list of summer goals!
I found it on Pinterest and it attached to a website with tutorials for a million other cool patterns. Making bracelets is such a quintessential summer activity, especially at camp. I would love to figure out how to do this one this summer!

NBC's "Camp" !

A TV show about sleep-away camp. Need I say anymore?
My only wish was that it was a Drama and not a Comedy... oh well, beggars can't be choosers!

Everything Looks Cuter With a Monogram!

A text from Hannah this morning reminded me that it's been quite a while since my last trip to the monogrammer! I think its safe to say that my obscene obsession with monograms is pretty obvious. My "Monogram Obsession" board on Pinterest is by far my favorite board to add to. Here are some of my favorite pins to help get inspired...

My Favorite Bags

So far this summer I have been doing a lot of organizing and cleaning. I had no idea how many bags I owned! So as I decide which ones are worth keeping and which ones would be better off donated to my younger cousins, I thought I would do a post about my must-have bags. As a preface to this I would like to say that I am a firm believer that all bags should be monogrammed.

Think about it, a lot of very valuable possessions go into bags...wallets, IDs, iPhones, AGENDA BOOKS... things that would really stink if they were stolen or lost! Hence... all bags should be monogrammed so that there is absolutely no confusion about what belongs to who. Not to mention, a monogram makes any bag look 992842x cuter. Also please take note of The Daily Prep's Muffy Aldrich on an important notice about monogramming dos and don'ts.

1. The Vera Bradley Large Duffel: I am not 100% sure how I feel about Vera Bradley. I don't think Vera Bradley is good for a daily purse or backpack. However, the company makes great things for travel. This duffel is the absolute perfect size for a weekend home from college, or a time-off from camp, or a quick trip to the Cape. I love that its soft and foldable so that when you're not using it it barely takes up any space. I got mine monogrammed with a circle monogram and I love that that sets it apart from everyone elses.

2. The L.L. Bean Boat and Tote: Such a classic. The PERFECT beach bag. Practically indestructible, a preppy classic, and literally holds EVERYTHING. Done. (Must be monogrammed).

3. C. Wonder Nylon Easy Tote: Emma got me this little beaut for my Christmas this year. Monogrammed in matching gold thread of course. It's really a perfect little bag. It's just the right size for a purse and goes with absolutely everything!

4. Sorority Letter Bag: A Greek letter bag is an absolute must-have at Syracuse. No matter where you go you'll see a group of girls toting matching black nylon letter bags with their sorority's letters embroidered in. Phi Sig received such great letter bags as PR items this spring but I couldn't find a good picture of the exact ones we got.

5. The North Face Recon Backpack: I don't use my backpack that often, but there are some days (Midterms, finals week...) when the sorority letter bag just cannot hold all of my needs.

6. Longchamp Le Pliage Pouchette: I have a fake version of this that I absolutely love. I always bring it to class with me as it holds all of my pens, pencils, hand sanitizer, and other random things.

VV Flag Whale

I've seen this Vineyard Vines Flag Whale Sticker ALL over Pinterest and Instagram lately and I HAVE TO HAVE IT. My friend just told me you can buy a sticker pack online for $13 which is an absolutely absurd amount of money to spend on a whale sticker, but really I think I may have to do it. My love of patriotic themed things is getting out of hand...

AND DID I MENTION THIS HAT?
