Story of my Life

Vests on Vests on Vests

Fact: I need more sweaters and vests in my life. But since absolutely every penny I own is going toward England right now I've got to pick one. Vests are the move, no question.

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest
I think this might be my next move. I have the Retro X Vest and it's definitely my favorite item of clothing, but I think a non-fleece vest might be a good option.

Women's Retro X Vest
THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. Enough said.

Women's Red Blaze Vest
Another good version of the puffer vest.

L.L. Bean Women's Goose Down Vest
I like this a lot. Such a good selection of colors as well!

J.Crew Women's Excursion Vest
LOVE these. Really wish they would go on sale though.

Old Navy Women's Quilted Barn Vest
A much more affordable version of the J.Crew style.

Sigma Chi's Derby Days at SU!

Have you ever seen a more perfect shirt?

It is safe to say I am absolutely obsessed it. My wonderful best friends and roommates were so dedicated to the conquest of these derby day tees that they woke up at 7am and traveled to Sig Chi to purchase them (they were repaid by a home-cooked breakfast by me).
We all looked like total dorks walking to the bus this morning sporting buttzips, Sperrys, our Patagonia vests, bows, and the new whale shirts, love it:)

LONDON ABROAD SPRING 2014!!!

I AM OFFICIALLY GOING TO ENGLAND IN 104 DAYS!!!

I will be there for about five months and I absolutely cannot wait!

A couple of my friends are there this semester and the pictures are absolutely stunning. So many of my camp friends are from the UK and I really hope I get to see as many of them as possible and travel to as many places as I possibly can. I will be staying with my boyfriend for the first couple of weeks and I am lucky enough to be in the UK for New Year's, Valentine's Day, my birthday and his birthday! I cannot believe I am so lucky for this to have worked out:)

I am saving every penny and already planning on what I am packing... only thing left to do is buy my plane ticket! xx

A little break from my usual sad favorites...

Nothing Compares...

The older I get and the more time I spend away from home continuously reinforces the fact that New England is the only place I ever want to live...

Filtr Nederland--Spotify--GO

Maybe it's just because up until the past three weeks I've spent the last three months of my life living in a yurt with limited wi-fi in the middle of the woods but music has absolutely TAKEN OFF in the past three weeks. Since being back at school I've decided to take an active stand against my deep state of poverty and get a job. I now spend my Tuesday and Thursday (and occasionally Friday) mornings working what might be my most glamorous job yet--sweeping up hair and wiping off tanning beds. I knew anything after being boat driver for three months would be a step down but womp. I am being dramatic, its not bad at all. In fact, besides free tanning and discounted manicures the best part about it is that my boss plays Spotify during business hours--and he has good taste.

Enter Filtr Nederland.

I know you're on a computer or an iPhone if you're reading this so do yourself a favor and open Spotify and follow everything Filtr Nederland has to offer.

I don't really know anything about Filtr Nederland as his/her/its entire Facebook and Spotify pages are in Dutch but these mixes are great.

Check out FILTR CALIFORNIA SUN and FILTR ALTERNATIVE / INDIE PLAYLIST.

This is Amazing.

This commercial was shown in my Race and Gender in the Media course today.

I absolutely love it.

Someone in my class said it perfectly, "Guinness isn't looking to attract a Natty Ice drinker, they target mature guys who would do something like this in a friend." Well put.

Also, this song.

September Wish List

As devastated as I am to see the best summer ever coming to an end, I must say I am a little excited to break out some of my fall wardrobe staples as the days turn cooler.
Here are my top three wishlist items for this month...

I've had my Wayfarers forever but I think its time for a change. I just bought a cheap version at Urban to try out before I commit to the real thing... we'll see how it goes.

I want one of these sooooo badly. It's just so beautiful. The perfect color to compliment my favorite Fall navy and cranberry hues. I'm going to London in December so I should just write it off as a school requirement for my travels.

I know, I know. You're all asking, don't you own one of these already? And the answer is NO! I am not sure how this is possible, but even being the #1 biggest Boston lover there ever was, I don't actually own my own Red Sox hat...unless you count the pink one that I used to wear to work at Truly... and I don't count that ;)

I'm BACK!

I have absolutely broken the cardinal rule of blogging---don't take a three month long hiatus.

Ok, I don't know if that's officially the cardinal rule of blogging, but it's definitely one of them. And I broke it! So for that, I am really sorry! But I promise, my adventures were worth it and my little vacation has restored me to come back better than ever:)

Keep your eyes peeled for another year of prep wisdom, butt-zips, boots, monograms, and Boston pride.

Get excitedddddd!
But until then, read up on these rules in case being your lack of reading material this summer has left you at an utter loss for the rules of prep.
